Lord, Renew Your Church Campaign Update – GREAT NEWS!
I am very pleased to report that St. Hubert has surpassed $5 million in pledges for the Lord, Renew Your Church capital campaign, the joint effort between Archbishop Hebda and the 185 parishes of the archdiocese to renew, strengthen and unify our local Church.
I am grateful to the 282 families who have responded to the campaign, which represents 14% of our registered parish families. I am hoping that families who have not yet responded are prayerfully discerning your gift and will make a pledge by next weekend, the great solemnity of Pentecost. That event celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit on Mary and the apostles as they gathered in the Upper Room 50 days after the Lord’s resurrection from the dead and 10 days after his ascension into glory. Pentecost is considered the birth of the Church, which would be a wonderful and fitting day for everyone to make a pledge to the renewal of that same Church, now thriving in Chanhassen and throughout the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Your gift to the campaign will help contribute to that renewal. Every gift is important; every gift is appreciated.
Please contact the parish office if you have not received a campaign letter or pledge card. Campaign materials and blank pledge cards are available at the Campaign Corner in the narthex of the church. You can find information on the parish priorities by visiting the parish website at https://www.sthubert.org/event-settings/lord-renew-your-church-capital-campaign. You can find materials on the archdiocesan priorities and make a pledge/gift electronically at the archdiocesan website at Lord, Renew Your Church - Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Please note that the St. Hubert website does not have a campaign box on our donate/online giving page. All electronic gifts to the Lord, Renew Your Church campaign must be made through the archdiocese campaign website. There, you will select St. Hubert under "My Parish" so that your gift is designated to our parish.
I look forward to celebrating Pentecost with you next weekend, giving thanks to the Holy Spirit for the good work done in and through the parishioners of St. Hubert over these past 160 years. Let us pray that we, who have inherited such a rich legacy of faith, will generously respond to today’s needs of the Church through the Lord, Renew Your Church campaign.
Come, Holy Spirit. Renew your Church, here at St. Hubert and throughout the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. May we open to your promptings, as you work to strengthen the Church in the mission to announce and make present the goodness of the Lord.
